"We went sailing with John and Janaea on Three Jaze. I actually had a bucket list and one of my top things was to find a way to go sailing as I had never sailed on a really nice boat before. We had an amazing time! I was thrilled to see how fast we went and although it felt like we were flying it was so smooth. We were able to sip our wine at 8 knots! We did the wine tasting with local wines and foods. It was just wonderful. My husband and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We are going to book again soon."

"I had an incredible experience with my wife and daughter on with Blue Whale Sail. John and Janaea are exceptional hosts who made the whole experience that much richer. I was able to relax and enjoy the city from a perspective I had not seen before while peppering John with lots of questions about how sailing worked. He was more than gracious and explained how it all worked to my wife and I. Food and wine were great and the experience overall was just fantastic. Highly recommended."

Thank you for such an amazing day! We felt very special from the moment we stepped foot on your beautiful sailboat. The champagne at the beginning was perfect and all my worries about seasickness faded away, the boat is so smooth and it's the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful day. The wine and cheese just added another dimension to the experience. A breathtaking way to take in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. You have something very special I would recommend to everyone. We hope to sail with you again soon!

John, Janaea, and their sail crew took two of my friends, my girlfriend, and I on a sail around the Blakely Harbor and to the Seattle skyline. The sail started off with a glass of champagne and well composed dishes. They served us with a graceful manner and kindly educated us with any questions we had along the way. The whole crew was outgoing and comfortable to be around. The view was spectacular and is a whole different experience than your normal ferry ride. After the wonderful ride to the Seattle skyline, I proposed to my girlfriend, now Fianceé, on the outside of their Three Jaze boat. will be booking a trip again.

My husband and I, and my step-son, enjoyed the most wonderful breakfast cruise with Blue Whale Sail the morning of July 24 on the Puget Sound. We left Bainbridge Island at 9 a.m. for 3 hour cruise and it was wonderful. We kind of decided at the last minute that we really wanted to sail and it worked out that we could do this the last day of our vacation in Washington. After calling a couple sail companies, we found Blue Whale Sail! The owner, Janaea and her captain, Greg and first mate, Elina could not have been more cordial and welcoming. We were greeted with amazing croissants, fresh fruit and tea for breakfast and headed out for a beautiful sail!! We were very fortunate to enjoy having the sails up and moving us about the Sound with a wonderful breeze, warm sun…although we did have our sweatshirts on, and I was provided a cozy quilt to keep my feet warm. The sun was bright the entire time. We enjoyed wonderful conversation, watching a couple of beautiful bald eagles and an occasional jumping fish. Most mostly, we loved spending our last morning on this beautiful vessel with great folks!! The captain and first mate, a couple, have travelled the world via sail boat…theirs is a fascinating story. Janaea and her husband enjoy sharing the boat with those interested in seeing the area via water, but also find time to enjoy their boat in the midst of busy lives and family!
If you are ever on Bainbridge Island….find Blue Whale Sail and take some time to enjoy the water with this great group!!
